CCS Flat Foam Pad 6.5 inch
Gold Jeweling
The CCS range from Lake Country use a unique and trademarked design to provide better control of the pad on the surface, allowing the product to work longer and preventing pad skipping. By utilizing high quality foams you get the the best finish every time not matter what machine you use, be it Random Orbital, Forced Rotation of Rotary Polisher.
CCS stands for Collapsed Cell Structure. The face of a CCS pad is covered in strategically placed pockets. These pockets are locations where the foam cells have been closed. Polish does not absorb into these closed cell pockets, leaving more product on the pad's surface and on the paint. This polish-saving design gives polishes a longer working time, which results in more successful detailing.
CCS Smart Pads™ work on every type of paint, from conventional clear coats to the harder, scratch-resistant clear coats used by Mercedes Benz and the Ford Motor Company. Lake Country's range of foam compositions, combined with the right chemicals, provides you with a prescription to correct almost any paint imperfection on any paint finish.
Our range of Lake Country CCS Flat Foam pads here at Waxit, are designed with Random Orbital machine usage in mind. Some special features have been include into these pads to allow them to withstand the particular forces a random orbital or forced rotation polisher will place on pads, as opposed to a rotary polisher which spins freely. Some of these features include;
- Stronger glue to withstand the additional sideways force placed onto the pad
- A stronger velcro backing all the way to the edge of pad to make sure the pad stays where it is meant to.
If you see a flat CCS pad with out these features, then it is not designed for a random orbital.
This is GOLD pad is known as the Jeweling Pad.
Jeweling is when you use a buffing pad with no abrasive qualities such as the Lake Country CCS Gold Foam, with a very fine abrasive such as Scholl Concepts S30+ or Menzerna SF4500. You then work the polish until you break down all the abraisve and then continue to refine the lubricants to develop a super high level of gloss and increased clarity.
For those with a Rotary Polisher, this will add a new level of finish to you work. The same process can also be used with the Concours 900 or the Flex XC3401VRG Forced Rotation
