The New HDO CCS Pad Range From Lake Country
Conventional foam pads absorb polish too quickly. This reduces polish and pad performance because most of the polish is trapped below the working surface of the pad. CCS technology™ solves this common problem using strategic patterns of partially closed foam cells.
Now available on our Heavy Duty Orbital (HDO) pads, giving the detailer the added benefit of the durable, dual layer design and tapered edge. The dual layer design reduces lateral & horizontal movement, resulting in a reduction of friction inside the pad which increases durability by eliminating excessive heat and reduces foam fatigue.
This Blue Light Cutting Pad from Lake Country is one of our new favourite pads here at Waxit! This exclusive new foam has a firm to medium density and a fine cell structure providing superior cutting ability as well as fantastic finishing capabilities. The strong durability of this pad enables it to stay firm and balanced even with prolonged use. -
Lake Country pads taper 1/2 an inch to get a bit more polishing radius.

So what's the difference between SDO and HDO?
Lake Country are always innovating and pushing the limits of pad technology, this is no different with there new HDO and SDO CCS line of pads, so what's the difference?
Essentially, HDO pads are designed to have increased performance with long throw Dual Action polishers, while SDO Pads are more designed towards forced rotation, rotary or other Non-long throw dual action polishers.
SDO pads are slightly thinner than HDO pads, as a result SDO offers a lower price point and an alternative for users of forced rotation polishers.

Coupled with a decent compound (Fixer or Essence, for example) this pad makes a great single stage option on most modern paint types. Try it and I doubt you’ll be disappointed.

Found this actually made a great one-step pad depending on the compound or polish used, and is easy to prevent stalling due to the pad stiffness.

So far so good. It has all the benefits of the standard HDO pad but the small recessed holes allow you to continue with the same pad for longer. Even with blowing it out every couple of passes, it doesn’t get clogged up as fast as the standard pad.
